OFFICE CONSULTATION

What to expect:

• Duration of first visit: 30-60 minutes

• We will review your surgical goals and medical/surgical history.

  • 2nd opinion consultations require operative reports for prior genitourinary surgeries (examples: phalloplasty, metoidioplasty by different surgeons, urethroplasty​, implant surgery, other surgeries).

  • Please provide these reports with your intake forms prior to your consultation so the records can be reviewed to streamline the consult.

• A physical exam cannot be performed virtually. Therefore, photos of the affected area or areas of concern are helpful for the consultation; please let us know and we can obtain these securely.

• Surgical discussion including risks and benefits of surgery will be reviewed in detail.

• If surgery is desired and deemed safe by the surgeon, we will start the process of scheduling. 

• Please have your letters ready by the time of consultation. If you do not have them, we can still schedule a consultation but letters should be ready by the time of the surgery. Surgery will not be scheduled until we have the letters.
